This is what differentiates blogs from newspapers, journals, and academic writing. This is supposed to be a space where anyone and everyone can express themselves. I’d hate for someone to be put off sharing something because they don’t meet a hypothetical bar of wit.
This is something I also talked about couple of days ago.
@zsbenke Great observation. I’m concerned that so many worthwhile posts are buried, which is why I read so many folks on Micro.blog on an RSS reader, then jump back to Micro to comment.
@chrisfoley I’m not concerned about that.
I’m more concerned about crappy Google results: these posts should be more discoverable by people. I mostly use Kagi and their Small Web search, when I want to find a blogpost about a topic, but still…
@zsbenke yes and yes.
@zsbenke What has your experience with Kagi been so far? I’m also thinking about trying out their Orion web browser.
@chrisfoley Kagi is great for searching blogs, and for general topic based web searches. Not that great for searching for places, localized stuff, news, etc.
The Orion browser is cool, but it’s too Safari-ish for me. I already use Safari for about 15 years now, so I haven’t switched to Orion.
