Thank you so much for sharing this great article.

Thank you, I hope you liked it.

I didn’t read the GTD book and trying to understand the methodology from charts, videos and your great summary. I made exactly the same folders, smart folders and tags as you showed here and there are few things i didn’t understand:

It would be best if you read the book. It is the easiest way of understanding the basics of GTD. You can’t acquire the same knowledge with ad hoc information from the web.

  1. In your video the ‘Errands’ smart folder disappears – why and what should I do with it?

There are no rules for what smart lists you create. I skipped Errands, because this is a sample database on the video, and wanted to fit more lists on the screen.

  1. When showing the Tags, I see an option for making a smart folder, which creates new tags, and another option for making a tag as you did with Projects. What is the difference between the two?

I’m not sure which feature of Reminders you are referring to.

  1. I didn’t understand the Tickler Folder thing. Can you please try to explain how do I use it with schedules and reminders. For example – If I have a task or a project at my Personal folder that I would like it to tickler one day, to appear at the tickler folder and still stayed at the Personal folder, what should I do?

Again, you should read the GTD book, since it explains what is the Ticker File in more detail.

  1. When I tag a task as a Project and the subitems as something else (Calls for example), when I tried to view all projects tags, I can only see the main project but can see the sub items (only appear that there are sub items to this task). is there any way to see the sub items when view ‘Projects’ only?

Sadly no, you can only see subitems nested under a reminder in a standard list.
